Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
2. Managing e-filing and docketing processes to ensure timely filing of legal documents.
3. Maintaining an organized and up-to-date calendar for attorneys, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
4. Coordinating trial support and litigation support activities.
5. Handling billing tasks, including time entry, invoicing, and tracking payments.
6. Managing legal documents through NetDocs or equivalent document management systems.
7. Providing general administrative support to attorneys, including correspondence, file management, and other related tasks.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, Litigation Secretary, or in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and MS Outlook.
3. Extensive experience with e-filing, docketing, and calendar management.
4. Familiarity with legal document management systems, preferably NetDocs.
5. Experience in handling billing tasks, including time entry and invoicing.
6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. A high level of professionalism and discretion, as you will be handling sensitive and confidential information.
