Job Summary

The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for designing and developing learner-centered, engaging, and scalable learning solutions across multiple modalities. This individual contributor role partners closely with global stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate business needs into impactful learning experiences that align with strategic objectives while accounting for regional and cultural nuances.

Key Responsibilities

The Learning Experience Designer will design and develop creative learning solutions including ILT/VILT, blended learning, interactive eLearning, microlearning videos, mobile learning, job aids, certifications, and facilitator/participant guides. This role translates strategic vision into storyboards, scripts, and design specifications, incorporating stakeholder feedback throughout the process.

Responsibilities include building interactive eLearning using Articulate Storyline and Rise, producing learning assets with Adobe Creative Cloud, maintaining and enhancing existing content, and rapidly prototyping solutions for ambiguous learning needs. The designer will manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, maintain reusable templates and asset libraries, and deliver high-quality work while adapting to changing business priorities.

Required Skills

• Instructional design and adult learning theory
• Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise)
• Adobe Creative Cloud
• Storyboarding, scripting, and design specifications
• Learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM

Preferred Skills

• HTML or web-based learning development
• Video and audio editing tools (Final Cut, Premiere, After Effects, Camtasia, Audacity, etc.)
• Motion graphics and animation tools (Vyond or similar)

Additional Skills

• Strong visual design (layout, color, typography)
• Stakeholder collaboration and communication
• Rapid prototyping and iterative design
• Project management and prioritization
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Education & Experience

• BA/BS degree in instructional design, graphic design, instructional technology, education, or related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in instructional design, instructional technology, or learning development
• Strong understanding of learning technologies and design best practices
