Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for overseeing nightly warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accuracy, and productivity across all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. This role serves as the on-shift leader, providing direction to warehouse associates while maintaining hands-on involvement in daily operations.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support warehouse associates during night shift operations
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow to ensure productivity and accuracy targets are met
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and staging activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment using pick tickets and WMS systems
  • Review and process shipping and receiving documentation, including invoices and driver paperwork
  • Create and verify driver packets, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation
  • Operate equipment such as Crown Reach Trucks safely and efficiently as needed
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on warehouse procedures and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse lead or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong experience operating Crown Reach Trucks (required)
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with pick tickets, invoicing, and shipping/receiving paperwork
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, tracking logs)
  • Ability to create and manage driver paperwork and shipping documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • High school diploma or GED required
