Job Summary and Qualifications

 We are looking for a compassionate and ambitious Lead Patient Transporter to oversee the daily workflow and management of all the patient transporters. · You will be responsible for the safe and expeditious transport of patients and supplies to and from locations throughout the hospital campus

· You will operate and maintain (cleanliness/safety) various types of patient transport devices such as; beds, specialty chairs, stretchers and wheelchairs to include associated support equipment such as; oxygen tanks, monitoring equipment, IV poles, IV pumps, bed inflation units and drainage tubing and containers and provide training and mentoring and equipment to transport staff

· You will ensure transporter work schedules are filled out on time and shifts are adequately covered.

· You will oversee daily operations of all transport staff, training staff on patient transport software, customer service skills and monitor efficiency of workflow management

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Previous patient transport experience is preferred in a hospital/healthcare facility
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    • Previous customer services experience is also preferred
