Lead-Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Lead Patient Care Technician position assists the licensed nursing staff in performing services within the scope of their practice. In addition to assisting with the daily care of patients, the lead will over the lunch breaks for PCT and Sitters. The lead will assist the unit in a multitude of tasks, including, but not limited to, bed moves and room preparation for admissions, communication with the Charge Nurses, and education and oversight of the PCTs.  This position will be working in our Rehabilitation and Medical/Surgical units.

 

Requirements:

• 
  
• Must possess a current and valid California Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or be currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program and have completed at least one year of the program.  
• 
  
• Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience
• 
  
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 
  
• One-year experience required and rehabilitation experience preferred.
• 
  
• Demonstrate initial ongoing competence in performing tasks for care.
