Lead Packaging Technician 2nd shift

Job Description

• Support and assist with packaging pharmaceutical products following SOPs, cGMPs, FDA standards, and batch record requirements

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, and shrink wrappers

• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and test runs for different products and batch sizes

• Complete packaging tasks accurately and efficiently per work orders and specifications

• Maintain accurate batch records and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance

• Collaborate with production teams and other departments to meet daily production goals

• Identify, report, and assist with investigating deviations from processes or procedures

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packaging environment

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and assigning personnel as needed

• Train and mentor new or junior packaging technicians

• Support SOP development and documentation when needed

• Work overtime or weekends as required by production demands

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech cGMP-regulated environment

• Prior packaging experience strongly preferred

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, safety policies, and technical instructions

• Working knowledge of cGMPs and regulated manufacturing environments

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work additional hours as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid dose manufacturing experience

• Associate’s degree or some college coursework
