Lead .Net Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a senior-level developer to lead the modernization and development of web and mobile applications. This role will focus heavily on transforming legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based solutions while partnering closely with business and technical teams.
This is a hybrid opportunity with partial onsite collaboration.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Solution Planning & Strategy
- Analyze existing legacy applications and document workflows and dependencies
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications
- Evaluate project scope, timelines, and potential risks with mitigation strategies
- Design proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes to validate technical approaches
- Recommend modern technologies aligned with security and scalability best practices
Architecture & Development
- Review and assess both legacy and modern application environments
- Design scalable application architectures across front-end, middleware, and back-end layers
- Lead migration strategies from legacy systems to modern frameworks and cloud platforms
- Develop and validate POCs for performance and technical improvements
- Collaborate on implementation planning, testing strategies, and deployment readiness
Delivery & Deployment
- Write and review high-quality code aligned with defined specifications
- Lead integration testing and ensure system stability
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and release planning
- Oversee deployments and provide post-release support
- Troubleshoot production issues and guide resolution efforts
- Recommend enhancements and future improvements for ongoing releases
WHAT YOU BRING:
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in .NET technologies (C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core)
- Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and/or Angular
- Hands-on experience with Azure (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, identity management)
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and cloud database migration strategies
- Experience with data transformation and data quality processes
Additional Experience
- Exposure to AWS is a plus
- Experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 6+ years working with .NET technologies and SQL Server
- 6+ years building web applications using ASP.NET and modern frameworks
- 2+ years working with Azure cloud services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Industry experience in financial services is a plus
