Job Summary and Qualifications
The Lead Medical Technologist assists in ensuring Lab Services functions in an efficient and optimal manner, ensuring high-quality, accurate, timely results.
Essential Functions / Job Duties:
- Assists in the planning and/or coordination of daily activities of the lab personnel. Communicates performance concerns to Lab Director
- Perform moderate and high complexity testing as defined by the CLIA 1988, including pre-analytic and post-anaylitic testing.
- Assists with the orientation and training of lab personnel and students
- Correlates abnormal data to determine validity, following up if needed with additional testing
- Participates in performance improvement activities and management of lab data
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrates working knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction
- Regular, reliable attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Follows hospital safety and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and patient care

What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree
- (MLS) Medical Laboratory Scientist, or (MT-AAB) Medical Technologist must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accredited lab setting and 2 years technical experience
