Position Summary

Agave House is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Line Cook to help drive kitchen excellence. This role is responsible for leading by example on the line, ensuring food quality and consistency, supporting team development, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in their craft, and is ready to step into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Lead and support line cooks during service to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and portion control
• Assist in training and coaching kitchen staff on techniques, recipes, and standards
• Monitor ticket times and communicate effectively with FOH and BOH teams
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, storage, and sanitation practices
• Support inventory management, prep lists, and daily kitchen organization
• Step into a leadership role during shifts, acting as a point of contact for the kitchen team
• Assist management with opening/closing duties and maintaining kitchen readiness

Qualifications

• 2+ years of line cook experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
