Description: Our Engineering client is currently seeking a Lead I&C Engineer.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Lead to manage and direct project scope execution. This role will work closely with clients to understand project requirements and ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all discipline aspects of projects from inception through execution.
- Develop and document scope of work.
- Size and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuators.
- Create datasheets and collaborate with vendors to obtain quotes for instrumentation and valves.
- Coordinate with process engineering team to select appropriate devices.
- Create schematics, termination drawings, and loop sheets for instrument wiring.
- Design custom control panels to meet project needs.
- Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met.
- Develop and track project costs.
- Identify, document, and communicate scope changes.
- Address client issues and needs promptly and effectively.
- Ensure value is delivered to the client and build strong relationships.
- Review and manage all project deliverables.
- Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control costs, monitor progress, and ensure quality.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of related experience in project engineering, preferably with EPC or engineering firm experience.
- Extensive experience as an Instrumentation Engineer on major capital projects from study phase through detailed design, construction support, checkout, and start-up.
- Proven ability to oversee project execution and ensure client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects within budget and schedule.
- Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- PLC programming experience is a plus.
