Job Summary

The role is responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimal safety for occupants, with a strong focus on repairs and maintenance. This position involves working directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure the integrity and reliability of fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and testing of wet, dry, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25 requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, test results, and deficiencies in accordance with NFPA standards.
  • Test and evaluate sprinkler heads, valves, piping, pumps, and control systems.
  • Inspect system components for corrosion, leaks, or damage and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Perform system maintenance (component replacements, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments).
  • Inspect and test fire pump assemblies for flow rates, pressure levels, and mechanical integrity.
  • Respond to service calls and emergencies, diagnosing and resolving system issues promptly.
  • Document all service activities in the Service Trade operations platform.
  • Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers to provide inspection data, repair needs, and estimates.
  • Communicate with clients regarding inspection results, system functionality, and recommended improvements.
  • Work closely with Service Coordinators to optimize work orders, scheduling, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (technical/vocational training in fire protection preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and related building/fire codes.
  • NICET certification strongly preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, service, or repair in commercial/industrial environments.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to client sites.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various environments (industrial, commercial, outdoors, heights, confined spaces).
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hand/power tools.
  • Must be able to work safely with fall protection and other safety equipment.

Pay Rate: $27-$43

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $6,000 (paid in two installments: after 30 days and after 90 days, based on experience and certifications such as NICET)
