Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: + Oversees mortuary operations for the Medical School's body donor program. + Transports, prepares and arranges cadavers according to established procedures + Prepares, safeguards, arranges and tends to cadavers according to established procedures. + Supports all functions of lab spaces in which cadavers are used to foster a quality learning environment. + Coordinates or performs various clerical, administrative and legal support functions in support of body donor operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Licensed by the Georgia Board of Embalmers or board eligible. + Two years of embalming experience in a mortuary, morgue, university anatomy department, or equivalent academic environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + GA Professional License as Embalmer and Funeral Director. + 5 years' experience working in funeral industry. NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
