Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is critical for leading our infrastructure provisioning efforts, providing advanced technical support, resolving complex issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our GCP environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of GCP services, a strong background in infrastructure as code using Terraform, excellent problem-solving skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

(Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering roles.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with core GCP services.
• Proven experience in a leadership or technical lead role.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

(Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Provide L2/L3 support for all aspects of the GCP environment.
• Lead and mentor a team of support engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
