Job Summary:
The L&D Designer/Developer will support North American Customer Operations (NACO) by designing high-quality, blended learning and performance enablement solutions aligned to strategic business priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Instructional Technology Development, this role is responsible for creating engaging, accessible, and brand-aligned learning experiences that strengthen employee capabilities and knowledge.
This position involves designing and developing complex learning solutions including eLearning modules, simulations, performance support tools, multimedia assets, and interactive content while ensuring alignment with accessibility standards and organizational learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and contribute to learning and development programs, including instructional frameworks, content mapping, prototypes, scripts, and storyboards across multiple delivery methods.
  • Lead the overall design and/or development and authoring of learning solutions.
  • Interpret and develop learner-facing graphics, formatting, and animations based on instructional design and SME input.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in creative and graphic design across online and paper-based assets, leveraging typography, photography, and illustration.
  • Develop visually engaging learning solutions (eLearning, simulations, performance support tools, presentations, videos, eBooks, etc.) aligned with brand standards.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance and integrate principles of diversity and inclusion in all solutions.
  • Collaborate with Course Owners, Instructional Designers, and SMEs to capture course-specific knowledge.
  • Participate in project scoping and planning, defining learner experience standards and deliverables.
  • Assess business needs, scope design solutions, and determine required resources for projects.
  • Recommend effective blends of instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based learning solutions.
  • Contribute to team success by assisting colleagues and providing coaching or guidance as appropriate.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 8+ years of instructional design and development experience.
  • Experience building complex (Level 4) simulations, videos, and assessments.
  • Experience in eLearning design and development, preferably within banking or financial institutions.
  • Post-graduate education in Adult Learning & Development or Instructional Design (preferred).
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience within banking or financial services environments.
  • Portfolio of past instructional design and development work.
  • Experience with virtual learning tools such as Adobe Connect, WebEx, or MS Teams.
Required Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency with Articulate Storyline 3/360 and Rise 360
  • Strong creative and graphic design skills
  • Expert-level knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience designing fully accessible solutions aligned with WCAG 2.1 (including testing with screen readers such as JAWS and keyboard navigation)
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with GoAnimate/Vyond, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Camtasia
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Creative Cloud suite
  • Knowledge of learning program design, evaluation inputs, needs analysis, and performance enablement strategies
  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
