Reputalble plaintiff litigation law firm is seeking a Law Clerk with 3-5 years of experience in a litigation law firm and strong knowledge of litigation terminology, procedures, and both state and federal court filing/e‑filing rules. The Law Clerk will work closely with attorneys to prepare legal documents, conduct research and fact‑finding, and maintain organized case files. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, able to work independently or collaboratively, and capable of supporting attorneys and clients immediately. Lemon Law experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial case assessments, investigations, and fact‑finding
  • Draft and assemble legal documents: complaints, declarations, discovery, motions, and other pleadings
  • Research statutes, case law, legal articles, and public records
  • Organize case materials, evidence, and reports
  • Prepare, file, and serve pleadings in state and federal courts
  • Format and finalize legal documents, including TOCs and TOAs
  • Assist with deposition prep, trial prep, and preparation of trial briefs, exhibits, subpoenas, and evidence
  • Support attorneys before and during court proceedings
  • Calendar deadlines, track case timelines, and maintain client files
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court clerks, and opposing counsel
  • Handle confidential information with discretion

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal formatting, filing, and service rules
  • Deep understanding of civil litigation procedures and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and independence
  • Ability to perform well in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication, analytical, research, and writing abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, and time‑tracking software

  2. File pleadings in state and federal courts
  3. Create TOAs/TOCs
  4. Prepare trial briefs, exhibits, subpoenas, and motions
  5. Calendar and track deadlines
