Laser Programmer
We are seeking an experienced Laser Programmer to support our fabrication and manufacturing operations.
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining CNC laser programs to ensure accurate, efficient cutting of sheet metal components while meeting production timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain CNC laser programs based on engineering drawings and job specifications
Interpret mechanical drawings and convert them into machine-ready programs
Optimize nesting and cutting paths to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap
Maintain program libraries and related documentation
Troubleshoot programming and processing issues in collaboration with engineering and production teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and safety
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience programming CNC laser equipment
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints
Experience with nesting software and material optimization
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming systems
Working knowledge of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Education: Technical degree preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience required
Contract to hire arrangement already in place.
Pay rate range, $24.00 to $25.00/hr.
