Perform general landscaping duties such as planting, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing plants. Mow, edge, and trim lawns and grass areas to maintain a neat and tidy appearance. Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) for various tasks. Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper water distribution. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment. Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants. Maintain flower beds, shrubbery, trees, and other plantings by watering, pruning, and fertilizing as needed. Remove debris, leaves, and other waste materials from job sites to ensure cleanliness and safety. Assist in landscape installation projects, including hardscaping (e.g., patios, walkways, etc.). Operate landscaping equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Follow safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents or injuries. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project is completed correctly and on time. The ideal candidate will have experience with lawn care, planting, mulching, trimming, and other outdoor landscaping tasks. You will help maintain and enhance the appearance of residential and commercial properties, ensuring they are visually appealing, clean, and well-maintained.

Will work in various locations within Spokane and Kootenai counties which are all in the same BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) area of intended employment. Spokane, WA and the surrounding area, including parts of Kootenai county. The Landscape Workers will depart from our main location each day and return to the same point of departure at the end of each day at 12202 E. Thorpe Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206. The Landscape Workers will travel from our main location to landscape sites and between landscape sites, at no cost to the employee. The Lanscape Workers will also travel between the landscape sites within the counties of Spokane and Kootenai.

Ability to lift upwards of 75 pounds. Walk and traverse uneven surfaces. Capable of standing, kneeling, bending, and performing other physical activities for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoor environments including hot, cold, and rainy weather conditions. Previous landscaping experience preferred but not required. Ability to use a variety of landscaping tools and equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.). Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Work Schedule:  Monday through Thursday from 6:15am-4:30pm with a half hour lunch. Fridays would be half a day, 6:15am-Noon.
Total Hours per week:   Work will not be performed on the weekends.  9.75 hours a day Monday through Thursday, 5.75 hours Friday/ 44.75 hours per week for regular time with compensable overtime each week.

Housing Assistance:

Employer may  assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. Workers are informed that housing is strictly voluntary/optional and may electto provide their own housing.  Housing secured with the employer’s assistance is not free of charge and will be deducted from employees’ paychecks with written permission of the employees.

Employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite free of charge if living in housing secured with the employer’s assistance.

Inbound Transportation and Visa Fees:

Employer will reimburse inbound transportation and daily subsistence costs for corresponding U.S. workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence within the same workday no later than 50% of completion of the contract period or earlier if required by law.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visas, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Inbound and Return Transportation: The following provisions pertaining to provision or reimbursement for inbound and return transportation and subsistence apply only to persons recruited from outside normal commuting distance.

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the Company will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the Company which is the place of recruitment.  The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.  Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

Notwithstanding the language in the preceding paragraph (i.e. reimbursement of inbound transportation and subsistence at the 50% mark), the employer will reimburse inbound transportation and subsistence before the end of the first week, if required by law.

If the worker completes the period of employment or if the worker is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer before the end of the period of employment, the Company will provide or pay for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker came to work for the Company which is the place of recruitment.  If the worker has contracted with a subsequent employer who has not agreed in such work contract to provide or pay for the worker’s transportation and daily subsistence expenses from the employer’s worksite to such subsequent employer’s worksite, the employer must provide for such expenses.  If the worker has contracted with a subsequent employer who has agreed in such work contract to provide or pay for the worker’s transportation and daily subsistence expenses from the employer’s worksite to such subsequent employer’s worksite, the subsequent employer must provide or pay for such expenses.  For the purposes of this paragraph, the “period of employment” shall be the period from the first workday the worker is at the Company’s work site and is ready, willing, able and eligible to work, until the anticipated ending day of employment, or until the services of the worker are no longer required, whichever come first.

Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employer period to the extent such guarantee applies to a particular employee.
