Laboratory Technician

Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Princeton, New Jersey
Hours / Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Type: Contract with possible extension
Compensation: $ 20 - $22 per hour

Reputable Consumer Product Goods (CPG) company seeking entry level candidates with basic wet chemistry technical lab skills. Will consider academic lab experience!

Responsibilities

• Prepare Laundry product formulations (detergents) measure pH, specific gravity and viscosity, perform stability tests, detergent & softener performance evaluation, fragrance evaluation by test panels, record keeping and housekeeping.

• Conduct all applicable testing relating to fabric care in the Laundry Lab group.

• Will be utilizing washing machines for fabric care projects.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related Science

• Hands on laboratory experience preferred (can be from school)

• Preference is for experience with wet chemistry (pH, viscosity, titrations, etc.)

• Must be comfortable lifting up to 40lbs (e.g. lifting of laundry detergent and related products)

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, high priority environment

• Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail!!!

Other Requirements

• Good Organizational and documentation skills (accurate lab notebook maintenance) Strong computer skills a plus. Should possess strong work ethic, and have good teamwork attitude.

NOTE: Potential to drive to the Rocky Hill, NJ site on occasions (very infrequent).
