Our Client, a Coatings and Paints company, is looking for a Laboratory Technician II for their Monroeville, PA location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.
  • Duties consist of preparing samples, making measurements, and performing several routine quantitative and qualitative chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
  • Assists higher level technicians in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
 
Requirements:
  • Basic description: 0-5 years.
  • Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests. Perform routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
  • This is an entry-level position. Requires a high school education or equivalent.
  • Prior experience is desired with examples of safe practices, chemical handling, and record keeping/reporting.
  • Some chemistry courses are desired. Knowledge of Microsoft office software is desired.
  • We will not hire anyone with a bachelors or master’s in chemistry for this role; bachelors in life science, biology, environmental science would qualify
