Laboratory Equipment Calibration Specialist

Synergy is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Laboratory Equipment Calibration Specialist to ensure all laboratory instruments and equipment are calibrated, maintained, and functioning accurately and reliably. The specialist will perform equipment calibration in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements, supporting quality assurance and laboratory operations within pharmaceutical and biotech environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure all calibration procedures comply with relevant standards, including GMP, ISO 17025, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Document calibration results and maintain calibration records accurately.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Collaborate with QA, Quality Control, and laboratory teams to support quality compliance and operational readiness.
  • Maintain calibration schedules and ensure timely completion of all calibration activities.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing calibration documentation and demonstrating compliance.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in laboratory equipment calibration within pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration standards, equipment, and regulatory requirements such as GMP and ISO 17025.
  • Experience with calibration software and data management systems is a plus.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of laboratory equipment calibration experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
  • Knowledgeable in GMP and ISO 17025 calibration standards.
  • Familiarity with calibration documentation and scheduling.

Skills:

  • Strong technical aptitude with laboratory instruments and calibration procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
