JOB SUMMARY:
- Provide leadership and oversight for all Laboratory Services within an acute care hospital setting.
- Ensure laboratory practices prioritize patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee specimen collection and testing for patients from neonates to geriatric populations.
- Direct daily laboratory operations, including staffing, workflow, and quality control.
- Manage operating and capital budgets for the laboratory department.
- Lead laboratory technical development, including instrumentation and LIS integration.
- Hire, coach, discipline, and evaluate laboratory staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related health science specialty.
- Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive laboratory leadership experience in an acute care setting.
- Registered or registry-eligible through ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent.
- State licensure as required.
PREFERRED:
- Prior Laboratory Director experience.
- Master’s degree in Allied Health, Health Administration, or Business.
