Laboratory Director/Chief Medical Technologist

Mississippi State Hospital will be accepting resumes until noon, Wednesday, April  1, 2026, for the purpose of hiring a contract worker to serve as Laboratory Director/Chief Medical Technologist RFx:3150006781. Candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university in  Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Bacteriology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field and certification as a medical technologist/clinical laboratory scientist by a recognized certification agency and 5 years’ work related experience.  Contract will begin on or around July 1, 2026, and end June 30, 2027, at a rate of $40.00 per hour.  Chosen applicant will work up to 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm.
