Position Summary
A Dallas law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support attorneys in its Labor & Employment litigation practice. This role provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to assigned attorneys, as well as assistance to other members of the litigation team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to 45 attorneys (partners and associates)
Manage complex Docketing/calendaring, track deadlines, and maintain matter reminders
Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence
Sending Teams/Zoom/Outlook invites
Proofreading / redlining
Coordinate and process state and federal e-filings
Conduct legal research using Westlaw
Communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel as needed
Assist with case management, document organization, and overall litigation support
Preparing binders (hearings/trial)
Scheduling court reporters, videographers
Preparing document productions (bates labeling, redacting as needed)
Preparing shells (discovery requests/responses and other pleadings)
Administrative duties (submitting conflicts, preparing engagement letters, expense reports)
Drafting would be helpful
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
35 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
