We are seeking a seasoned Labor and Employment Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and labor relations, and possess exceptional negotiation, dispute resolution, and arbitration skills. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse range of legal matters, providing legal advice and guidance on labor and employment-related issues. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring our organization's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and will play a key role in shaping the company's labor and employment policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including but not limited to employment contracts, wage and hour laws, workplace safety, discrimination, and harassment claims.
2. Represent the organization in labor and employment disputes, including mediations, arbitrations, and litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
3. Draft, review, and revise employment policies, procedures, and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues, and provide proactive legal advice and solutions to mitigate legal risks.
5. Negotiate and resolve labor disputes and grievances, and provide legal support in collective bargaining negotiations.
6. Deliver training and workshops to management and employees on labor and employment law topics.
7. Stay informed of developments in labor and employment law, and advise management on potential impacts to the organization.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in CA , within driving distance of Burbank is ideal.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Labor and Employment Attorney, with a track record of effectively handling labor and employment matters.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations.
5. Strong negotiation, dispute resolution, and arbitration skills.
6. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-friendly legal advice.
9. High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
10. Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
