Job Summary:
The Lab Technician will work alongside a dynamic team of research and development scientists to support product development testing through laboratory procedures such as immunohistochemistry (IHC) and ELISA. This role requires strong scientific literacy, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs laboratory work (I.e., immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA, and any other relevant tests as needed) to conduct product development testing.
  • Performs laboratory housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and calibration on equipment used within R&D activities, according to required schedules.
  • Completes paperwork and documentation (GDP).
  • Assists with generating, maintaining, and updating Design History Files (DHF) for new and/or existing products.
  • Completes all work in compliance with established FDA, OSHA, USDA, EPA, ISO and Quality System regulations, as applicable. Therefore, knowledge of FDA QSRs and ISO 13485 or other related industry preferred.
  • Communicates (written & oral) clearly, effectively, and professionally.
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets routine instructions, correspondence, policies, and procedures (scientific literacy).
  • Maintains a high level of quality and excellence with all work performed; is detail-oriented and can multi-task projects at various stages of completion.
  • Works according to schedules and deadlines and adapts when priorities change.
  • Works under the supervision of the R&D Manager.
  • Is a team player.

Required Experience:
  • Three years of laboratory experience preferred.

Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Immunohistochemistry (IHC) experience.
  • Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) experience.
  • Autostaining experience (e.g., use of a Ventana Benchmark autostainer).
  • Knowledge of FDA QSRs and ISO 13485 or related industry standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline.
