We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Lab Supervisor to join our team in the scientific industry. This position will provide you with an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of dedicated lab professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art lab. You will play a crucial role in facilitating scientific discovery and innovation, utilizing your expertise in lab technology, instrumentation, CLIA, CAP, CBC, and MLT. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety.
2. Manage the daily operations of the lab, including scheduling, budgeting, and procurement of supplies and equipment.
3. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of lab instrumentation, ensuring precision and accuracy in all lab procedures.
4. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other relevant regulations and standards.
5. Lead the implementation of new lab technologies and methodologies, improving efficiency and productivity.
6. Review and validate test results, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of lab data.
7. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and teamwork.
8. Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities, ensuring continuous improvement in lab operations.
9. Implement and maintain lab safety protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all lab personnel.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a lab technologist, MLT, or in a similar role in a scientific or medical laboratory.
3. Proficiency in lab instrumentation, CLIA, CAP, CBC, and other relevant technologies and methodologies.
4. Excellent leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
7. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
8. Knowledge of lab safety protocols and regulations, with a commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
9. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
10. Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
