A busy entrepreneurial couple in NYC is seeking an experienced Estate Manager/Butler to oversee operations for a sophisticated, multi-property private household. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a background in luxury hospitality or private, five-star-level service who excels at leadership, organization, and elevating service standards. The position is based in NYC, with travel to the Hamptons and Aspen as needed.
Responsibilities:- Provide senior-level management of all household operations across multiple residences
- Develop and implement comprehensive standard operating procedures and house manuals
- Ensure seamless execution of formal and informal entertaining with a strong focus on food, wine, and table presentation.
- Logistical organization of private Michelin level dining intimate events, dinners and gatherings at the home
- Supervise and mentor household staff, fostering a calm, professional, and respectful environment
- Manage vendors, contractors, and special projects from routine maintenance to capital improvements
- Oversee inventories, including art, collectibles, and wine
- Coordinate travel logistics, working closely with pilots, drivers, and external service providers
- Maintain calendars, contractor access, and security protocols
- Introduce systems for password management, documentation, and institutional knowledge retention
- The two dads will be expecting children in the fall, so comfortable working around infants and newborn care specialists is required

- Legal to work in the US
- Comfortable working in a modern family environment and coordinating across multiple homes
- Prior experience as an Estate Manager, Director of Residences, or senior hospitality leader or butler in a high-end home
- Strong background with high-level service. Exposure to fine dining, wine programs, and formal entertaining is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to create structure: SOPs, manuals, checklists, and training programs
- Confident leader who delegates effectively and empowers staff
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and recommend solutions
- Discreet, professional, and respectful of privacy
- Ability to travel between residences as needed
- Strong technology and organizational skills
