Kitchen & Bath/Builder Outside Sales Representative
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Kitchen & Bath/Builder Outside Sales Representative to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, drive sales growth, and expand our customer base within assigned territories. In this role, you will leverage your industry expertise and product knowledge to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to Kitchen & Bath (K&B) businesses and builders. You will play a key role in driving revenue, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our sales team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the assigned territory and the businesses within it.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with K&B/Builder accounts to grow existing business and acquire new customers.
- Clearly communicate and promote company sales programs, product features, and unique value propositions.
- Handle and fulfill customer sample requests in a timely manner.
- Analyze each customer's business model to tailor a strategic approach for maximizing sales opportunities.
- Attend industry networking events to expand business relationships and brand awareness.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product innovations to educate and advise customers.
- Identify and pursue display opportunities, tracking performance against established goals.
- Support customer events and promotional activities.
- Develop and maintain target lists for new account acquisition and conversion.
- Contribute to the annual sales forecasting process and be accountable for achieving sales targets.
- Participate in regular progress meetings (monthly/quarterly) to review goals and strategies.
- Gain proficiency in company software and CRM tools to manage customer interactions, track quotes, and follow up on jobs.
- Understand the showroom sales process to effectively communicate expectations to K&B/Builder customers.
- Provide prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of customer visits, communications, and follow-ups.
- Monitor market trends and report insights that may impact sales strategies.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist inside sales efforts in the showroom or office as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the kitchen & bath or building materials industry.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and develop tailored sales strategies.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and basic sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and attend networking events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
