About the Junior Accountant Role
A growing and team-oriented organization in Littleton is adding a Junior Accountant to support their expanding accounting function. This position operates in a high-activity environment, handling day-to-day transactions while gaining valuable experience with the general ledger and month-end close.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant
Oversee and manage the company’s check processing cycle
Prepare and review check runs, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
Partner with internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies and missing documentation
Assist with ACH transactions, debit postings, and invoice processing
Help track and post cash activity and payments
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and research variances
Contribute to month-end close by preparing entries and supporting schedules
Review transaction coding to maintain general ledger accuracy
Provide backup support for accounts receivable tasks as needed
Maintain professional written communication with internal stakeholders and external agencies
Qualifications for Junior Accountant Applicants
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
2–5 years of accounting experience with exposure to general ledger work
Strong Excel proficiency, including working with large datasets and functions like PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
Comfortable in a dynamic environment where processes continue to evolve
Clear and professional written communication skills
Able to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
