Jr. System Administrator

What's the role?
As a Junior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of all computer systems and provide technical support to end users.
Responsibilities:How can you add value?
- Responsible for assisting in the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers, workstations and software applications.
- Monitor system performance including server uptime, resource utilization and network traffic to ensure efficient performance.
- Provide technical support and resolve hardware, software and network issues reported by users or identified through supervising tools.
- Manage user accounts, permissions and security settings. Assist in onboarding new employees and configuring their workstations.
- Maintain and update documentation regarding system configurations, procedures and steps to be followed.
- Assist in backup processes and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Implement and supervise security measures to protect the organization's systems and data from unauthorized access and threats.
- Support system upgrades, patches and software installations as required.
- Work with management team members to plan and implement system enhancements and upgrades.
- Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty PR and LLA policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
- Other functions that may be assigned.
What do you need?
Education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2-4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related role.
Other Qualifications:
- Good communication and positive interpersonal skills.
- Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Computer-literate, knowledge in Microsoft Office.
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to proactively maintain a positive environment within a team and keep them motivated
- Ability to properly Coach and Develop personnel.
- Customer Focus and service oriented.
- Knowledge of Telecommunications, especially on wireless, cable, telephone, and Internet.
- Strive to work in a dynamic, often fast paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license
