Journeyman Electrician

Cedar Park Group (CPG) is seeking a journeyman-level electrician for commercial work from Queensbury to the Albany area. You must have your own tools of the trade and be ready to start.

Schedule/Shift: Day shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

You'll support commercial electrical installations and repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting, panel work, and conduit installation. This role requires comfort working on ladders and lifts, strong attention to safety, and the ability to complete physically demanding work on active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures

• Perform electrical work in panels up to 400 amp

• Bend and install conduit (EMT and rigid) to route and protect wiring in commercial/industrial environments

• Produce accurate conduit bends (90° bends, offsets, and saddles) to navigate walls, ceilings, and jobsite obstacles

• Support standard commercial installations, including material selection and handling

• Follow jobsite safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional work area

• Work safely while using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding as needed

Required Qualifications

• Journeyman-level electrician experience (minimum 4 years)

• Strong working knowledge of commercial electrical materials, devices, and installations (switches, outlets, lighting, etc.)

• Experience working in panels up to 400 amp

• Demonstrated conduit installation experience, including EMT and rigid bending

• Must have tools of the trade

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift (standing, climbing, jobsite movement)
