Credence has an immediate need for a Web Developer in support of the Air Force Institute of Technology Civilian Institution Programs (AFIT/CIP) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
The Air Force Institute of Technology Civilian Institution Programs (CIP) responds when needed by the Air Force to fulfill a new mission, take new direction, and to satisfy new requirements.
Once officers are selected by their respective force development teams at the Air Force Personnel Center, the AFIT Civilian Institution Programs staff is officially notified of selected individuals. Program Managers then works with the selected officers from selection through confirmation of graduation or program completion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
Provide support to the AFIT/CI website development team in designing and implementing web-based applications and services for the organization. They shall work closely with the team to understand project requirements, develop code, test applications, and troubleshoot any issues.
Assist with code audits to ensure that website and application code is secure, efficient, and up to date. They shall ensure that all code adheres to best practices and industry standards, and that any necessary updates or patches are implemented in a timely manner.
Assist in the development and implementation of a content management system (CMS) and make recommendations for modifications to or creation of new fields in the CMS to improve website functionality and user experience.
Provide support to the website team in various phases of website development, from planning to launch. This includes, but is not limited to answering questions, directing team members to the correct resources, providing assistance to other team members, maintaining and updating project documentation, and reviewing website code for errors or inconsistencies.
Provide a wide range of other technical support services to the organization's IT staff in support of web-based projects managed by the department, including:
Providing technical support with various web development tools and platforms.
Assisting with website analytics and reporting.
Assisting with website optimization and performance tuning.
Assisting with the development and implementation of website security protocols.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in web development and coding
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website design principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
