Job Description: Senior Java/MuleSoft Developer
Locations: Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX
Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week
Employment: Fulltime
Openings: 10 (Mix of MuleSoft + Java/Kafka; some roles will require Kafka)
Position Overview
We are seeking Looking Senior Integration Engineers with strong MuleSoft expertise. While MuleSoft is the primary skill, the team is also open to seasoned Java and Kafka professionals. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience designing enterprise integrations, APIs, and middleware solutions in large‑scale financial environments.
Primary Skills
- MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio) — Primary
- Java Programming — Secondary
- Candidates with Kafka experience are strongly preferred for select roles.

Roles & Responsibilities
API & Integration Development
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and integration flows using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Implement API‑Led Connectivity architecture (System, Process, Experience layers).
- Build integrations in Anypoint Studio including connectors, flows, sub‑flows, and error handling.
- Create and maintain RAML/API specifications.
Middleware & Connectivity
- Develop integrations involving REST/SOAP, HTTP, JMS, JDBC, ODBC.
- Work with structured/unstructured data formats (JSON, XML).
Security & Governance
- Implement API security including OAuth, TLS, token‑based authentication.
- Define API policies via API Manager (rate limiting, throttling, IP allowlisting).
Environment Support
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support Mule applications across DEV / QA / PROD.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and high availability.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Participate in Agile ceremonies; work with Jira/Confluence for requirements and documentation.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Use Git / Bitbucket for version control.
Additional Requirements
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, event‑driven design, and microservices.
- Experience with Kafka is a plus (some of the 10 openings will require Kafka).
- Familiarity with enterprise environments, especially Banking and Financial Services.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
