Full-Stack Java Engineer – Marketing Technology (Contract)
Location: Remote (U.S. only; no CA or CO)
Contract Length: 6–12 months, with possibility to convert to a permanent position
About the Role
We are seeking a Full-Stack Java Engineer to join a high-impact team supporting marketing-driven initiatives for a large, established online university known for serving adult learners, working professionals, and non-traditional students. This backfill role operates in a fast-moving environment focused on enhancing the digital enrollment journey.

The team owns a critical student-facing application that helps prospective learners match their backgrounds and skills to relevant scholarship opportunities. The work is highly visible, drawing regular attention from senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
  • Build and enhance features within a student-facing scholarship matching application
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and UI partners
  • Contribute to full-stack development using modern frameworks and tools
  • Participate in testing, code reviews, and accessibility compliance
  • Engage in a feedback-driven, highly collaborative environment
Required Skills (Mid-Level: 3–5+ Years Experience)
  • 3–5+ years of full-stack Java development
  • Java and Spring Boot
  • Next.js and TypeScript
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
  • Exposure to Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with ADA and accessibility standards
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Salesforce
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
