Java Developer - Part-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Part-Time Java Developer with a minimum of five (5) years of experience to support ongoing project needs. This role requires a strong technical foundation in enterprise and legacy Java technologies, along with flexibility to contribute across multiple workstreams as project demands evolve.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based enterprise applications
- Utilize Apache Struts framework and EclipseLink (JPA) for application development
- Support and maintain applications deployed on Oracle WebLogic Server
- Perform and remediate Fortify static code scans, ensuring adherence to security standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development and production environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project teams to deliver effective solutions
- Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a variety of project-related tasks as needed
- Assist with documentation, testing, and deployment activities
- Support tasks outside of core development responsibilities to ensure overall project success
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information science, or software engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java (J2EE/Java EE)
- Hands-on experience with Apache Struts, EclipseLink (JPA), Oracle WebLogic Server, Fortify (static code analysis and remediation)
- Experience working within enterprise or legacy system environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity
- Must be a U.S. citizen and undergo a background check for Public Trust
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
