Java Developer

Client : Securian // Apex systems
Position: Java development team.
These are hybrid onsite in St. Paul MN (NOT looking for relocation candidates at this time)
Rate :$50 to 55/hr on W2 without benefits
Sub vending allowed: No
Visa Constraints : None

Looking for fullstack Java developers with Spring backend + React frontend. AWS is nice to have. Really strong communication skills are very important to this team.

High-Level Individual Duties:

• API development & integration
• Some front end work, mostly editing what already exists
• Unit testing

Must-Haves:

• 7+ years of experience – does not want to consider anyone with less than 7 years
• Java/Spring
• REST API development
• React Frontend

What Will Win:

• AWS & Kubernetes – won't be building anything cloud native, but they are starting to do more work with Kubernetes

Soft Skill Requirements

• Must be able to work independently – there will be a lot of ambiguity in this role as the project is new, so need this person to be comfortable working through that
• Curious, proactive, someone who asks good questions

Client specific requirements:

• 3 days per week onsite. The team usually tries to coordinate at least 1 day for everyone to be onsite, but otherwise the days are flexible
