Java Architect

Title: Java Architect
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Salary Range: $70/hr-$80/hr

Introduction:

Join our dynamic team where you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions. This is a potential contract-to-hire opportunity that offers the chance to work in a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three days per week on-site.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 15-20 years of experience in building and maintaining applications with a focus on performance, observability, scalability, security, and reliability
• 7 years of experience overseeing enterprise-grade platform solutions
• Strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Mule, web services, Kafka, SQL & PL/SQL (Oracle)
• Experience in cloud-native deployment using OpenShift, Kubernetes, or any container platform
• Advanced knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• Proven ability to leverage knowledge of infrastructure automation, DevOps, cloud technologies, and platform architecture to build resilient, scalable, and maintainable solutions
• Experience implementing best practices, optimizing performance, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing leadership to the engineering team

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support production environments and manage associated maintenance, change control, incident, and problem management
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and ensure compliance with information security and infrastructure standards
• Facilitate collaboration within and across teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring consistent design across platform components
• Identify opportunities for platform improvements and lead the adoption of emerging technologies
