Janitor

Job Purpose: Delivers professional cleaning services to commercial clients by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance standards across assigned facilities.

Duties:

• Cleans and sanitizes client facilities including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, lobbies, and common areas following established cleaning protocols and checklists
• Vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floors, and maintains floor appearance using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment
• Empties trash receptacles, replaces liners, and transports waste to designated disposal areas; follows recycling procedures
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and floors; restocks paper products, soap, and supplies
• Dusts and wipes down surfaces including desks, countertops, windowsills, and office equipment
• Cleans glass surfaces including windows, doors, and partitions using streak-free techniques
• Reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor promptly
• Follows color-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination between areas
• Operates cleaning equipment safely and properly including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and extractors
• Completes work within scheduled timeframes and follows client-specific instructions
• Maintains professional appearance and conduct while on client premises
• Communicates effectively with team members and management regarding job status and concerns

• Commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive motions
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Follows safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals
• Professional demeanor and respect for client confidentiality
• Willingness to work evening/night shifts and weekends as needed
