Our Client, a Real Estate and Financial Services company, is looking for a IT Project Manager Specialist for their McLean, VA location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Technical PM with Scrum coaching experience is required.
  • Candidates must have experience with delivery, communication, collaboration, senior leadership communication, problem solving, meeting management, and people management.
  • Hands on with modern technology stacks, Agile methodology, Java, MongoDB, Microservices, AWS, Angular or Frontend technologies, automation testing and frameworks, Agile practitioner-deeper level of understanding.
  • Prefer AI knowledge-adopted AI, implementing AI transition within an environment.
  • Client is seeking an exceptional Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex initiatives within the Single-Family Digital Product Delivery and underwriting domains.
  • This role blends strong technical leadership, business acumen, and executive-level communication.

  • information into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.
  • This role involves driving modernization efforts, enabling AI-powered capabilities, and ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and business units.
Technical & Delivery Leadership
  • Lead and manage technical projects from inception through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Agile proponent and practitioner, focused on maturing team practices and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Drive software delivery using SDLC, Agile, or PMLC processes.
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, and underwriting to gather requirements and deliver impactful outcomes.
AI & Modernization Initiatives
  • Oversee implementation of AI solutions such as automation and vibe coding within the SDLC.
  • Support large-scale technology transformation and modernization efforts across multiple systems.
  • Strategic Analysis & Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Work closely with department leads to track business and IT initiatives to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Provide analysis of complex issues by evaluating data, trends, technology, and business context.
  • Monitor dashboards, budgets, roadmaps, and metrics to deliver transparency and visibility to stakeholders.
  • Guide root-cause analysis to recommend data-driven solutions.
Executive-Level Communication
  • Create clear, concise, and compelling presentations and written communication for senior leadership.
  • Synthesize complex project or technical information into digestible executive summaries.
  • Prepare project documentation, status reports, and proactive risk mitigation updates.
People Leadership & Culture
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage scope, budgets, risks, resources, communications, and internal controls.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Program/Project Management experience.
  • Technical background and experience working directly with development teams.
  • Proven track record of leading complex technical projects.
  • Agile Scrum Master certification and practical Agile delivery experience.
  • Strong SDLC experience; familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations.
  • Exceptional organization, analytical, and coordination abilities.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience implementing AI or automation tools within the SDLC.
  • Prior experience leading teams or managing people.
  • Mortgage, underwriting, or broader financial services industry knowledge.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership and cross-functional initiatives.
  • PMP or additional project management certifications.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
