IT Project Manager

We have a Senior IT Project Manager position open for someone located in the Las Vegas Metro Area. This position will be an integral part of an IT PMO and will focus on driving a process through to completion vs a deep technical know-how. A proven ability to get things done on a global stage is key. Knowing how to work with technologists, key stakeholders, and SMEs is a big part of this project. A PMP is nice but not a must.
Successful IT PMs have experience in the following areas:
- Strong project management skills in Hybrid and Agile methodologies
- Experience managing global projects that have deployed technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive team collaboration to overcome ambiguity
- Guide complex projects to desired outcomes aligned to organizational standards
- Outstanding knowledge of project artifacts and deliverables
These are long, multi- year contracts and require you to work Pacific Time business hours with hybrid options available. Given the global nature of this role, there will be evening meetings and hours are capped at 40 per week.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Has five or more years as a Technical Project Manager
- Has project-managed enterprise deployments and/or sunsetting of applications
- PMP Certification or other formal project management training required (college equivalents, company training\programs, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation & influencing skills
- Excellent project management skills and ability to communicate project management methodology
- Prioritization & Stakeholder Management
