Position Overview
As an IT Project Coordinator, you will support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of IT initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with project goals, timelines, priorities, resource administration, financial tracking, reporting, testing coordination, and general project administrative support (including meeting scheduling and documentation management).
The Project Coordinator plays a key support role while the Project Manager retains full ownership and accountability for project outcomes.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Finance and Performance Lead
Maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to the assigned IT Project Manager
Provides project support; the PM retains ultimate accountability
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Resource Management
Manage financial tracker for forecasting and spending
Update systems utilized for project spend tracking
Monitor and report on cross-project dependencies
Ensure financial accuracy and alignment with portfolio expectations
Project Planning & Documentation
Assist Project Managers with development of work plans
Monitor and maintain project document repositories
Ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to Project and Portfolio Management standards
Lead and facilitate quality inspections of key project documentation and artifacts
Testing & Quality Coordination
Facilitate performance testing discovery sessions
Determine performance testing requirements for assigned projects
Manage impacts of project changes on testing schedules and processes
Support test script development by guiding project and business resources
Develop Test Plans/Test Approaches and define success metrics for each testing cycle
Report on quality and testing status throughout the project lifecycle
Manage defect coordination and collaborate with appropriate teams to determine root cause and resolution paths
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate project activities across:
Vendor partners
Functional teams
Technical teams
Business representatives
IT leadership
Facilitate meetings and maintain strong stakeholder communication
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical field (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience working as an IT project team member (required)
Project management certification preferred (not required)
Agile/Scrum certification preferred (not required)

Financial acumen related to project financials

Effective conflict resolution skills
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Desired Skills
Experience with Planview (resource and financial management)
Experience with Micro Focus Quality Center or other Quality Management applications
Power BI report creation (other BI platforms acceptable)
Experience with Confluence, Planview Agileplace, and Agile tools
Knowledge of automated testing tools and processes
Introductory Scrum or Agile certifications/training
