A defense manufacture is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for enterprise users. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, system maintenance, and end-user assistance across desktops, laptops, and networked devices in a professional IT environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT infrastructure field support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues.

  • Install, configure, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.

  • Support imaging, deployment, and hardware lifecycle management processes.

  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP connectivity issues.

  • Deliver “smart hands” support for networking and peripheral hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.

  • Conduct repeat call analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce downtime.

  • Collaborate with remote support teams to resolve escalated incidents quickly.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT field support, desktop engineering, or infrastructure services.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and enterprise applications.

  • Familiarity with network fundamentals and hardware diagnostics.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or related field preferred.

  • VantageClear Certification (or equivalent security credential) required.
