echnical Business Analyst (SQL / Regulatory Systems)
We’re seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a high-impact Regulatory Projects team, where you’ll play a key role in driving data-driven decisions, improving system efficiency, and supporting critical compliance initiatives.
This is a hybrid role blending business analysis, data analysis, and systems support—ideal for someone who thrives working with both stakeholders and data in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with stakeholders across compliance, finance, security, and IT to gather and define business and system requirements
- Analyze real-time and production data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Write and execute SQL queries to support analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and system documentation
- Support production systems, including issue analysis, root cause investigation, and resolution tracking
- Deliver regular status reporting and communicate progress to leadership
- Drive process improvements and help implement scalable, efficient system solutions
- Ensure all work aligns with regulatory, audit, and compliance standards
Requirements
- 5–9 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, or Systems Analyst
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and data analysis
- Experience working with enterprise systems and production environments
- Proven ability to gather and document technical and functional requirements
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, banking, healthcare, insurance) is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Business Objects (SAP BO) or similar reporting tools
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks (incident, problem, change management)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams and executive stakeholders
- High visibility role supporting critical regulatory initiatives
- Blend of data, systems, and business strategy
