Pay: $25-$32 + Per Diem
_We are looking for skilled iron workers for our commercial steel building team in Rapid City, SD. You will be performing a variety of structural steel erecting, fitting, and welding responsibilities to build industrial scale steel buildings. We are looking for skilled individuals who can hit the ground running with minimal training and supervision._
Responsibilities
+ _Erect and fit structural steel components for the renovation project._
+ _Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and effectively communicate with crane operators using hand signals._
+ _Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in large-scale commercial structural steel building._
+ _Read specifications and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required._
+ _Unload and stack fabricated iron and steel so that it can be lifted with slings._
+ _Set up hoisting equipment to safely position and unite steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks._
+ _Use shears, rod-bending machines, torches, hand tools, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld the structural and reinforcing iron and steel._
+ _Align structural and reinforcing iron and steel vertically and horizontally, using tag lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels and make corrections to erected structures as needed._
+ _Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or weld._
+ _Install metal decking used in building construction._
+ _Knowledge of rigging and load charts._
Skills
+ _Steel erection and fitting_
+ _Blueprint reading_
+ _Forklift and boom lift operation_
+ _Equipment operating_
+ _Crane signal communication_
+ _Over 2 years of experience in large-scale commercial steel building/iron working_
+ _Knowledge of structural welding is advantageous_
+ _OSHA 10 certification_
+ _Concrete form and rebar handling_

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
