A high-performing law firm with a renowned Intellectual Property litigation group is seeking an Associate with 2–4 years of experience to join its Hatch-Waxman and life sciences litigation team. This firm represents top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech clients in high-stakes patent disputes, especially around Paragraph IV and ANDA matters. With an elite trial team and a deep bench of regulatory and scientific experts, the firm is known for handling complex pharmaceutical IP litigation across all stages of dispute resolution. The team is being strategic about future growth and is specifically targeting early-career talent with standout academic and technical credentials.

Responsibilities
- Litigate complex patent disputes under the Hatch-Waxman Act, including ANDA litigation
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda for federal court proceedings
- Manage discovery, including expert reports and depositions
- Coordinate with scientific and regulatory experts on case strategy
- Assist in trial preparation and support first-chair trial counsel
- Work collaboratively with a team of experienced IP litigators across multiple office

Requirements
- J.D. degree and 2-6 years of experience (at least 2 with Hatch Waxman)
- Degree in chemistry, biology, or a related life science field; PhD or Master’s preferred
- Strong academic background from a competitive undergraduate or graduate institution (e.g., Harvey Mudd, UChicago, MIT, Berkeley)
- Admitted to practice and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Prior experience handling fact and expert discovery in patent litigation
- Federal clerkship or notable legal experience a plus
