Lower middle-market private equity firms, growth equity investors, credit funds, family offices, and institutional investment platforms within our network may seek analytically strong Investment Monitoring Analysts to support ongoing portfolio oversight and performance evaluation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Portfolio Performance Monitoring & Analysis
Track and analyze portfolio company financial performance versus budget, forecast, and underwriting cases
Monitor KPIs, operational metrics, and covenant compliance
Identify performance trends, variances, and early warning indicators
Maintain dashboards and standardized reporting tools
Financial Modeling & Valuation Support
Update and maintain operating models and return analyses for existing investments
Support quarterly and annual valuation processes, including fair value analysis
Analyze capital structures, leverage, liquidity, and cash flow performance
Assess downside scenarios and sensitivity impacts over time
Investment Committee & Reporting Support
Prepare portfolio review materials and performance summaries
Support quarterly investment committee and LP reporting
Clearly communicate key developments, risks, and value-creation progress
Assist with ad hoc analyses requested by senior investment professionals
Portfolio Company & Value Creation Support
Partner with portfolio company management teams to collect and analyze data
Support operational improvement initiatives and growth strategies
Assist with refinancing, recapitalization, add-on acquisitions, and exit readiness analysis
Contribute to post-acquisition integration and performance tracking for bolt-on deals
Process Improvement & Data Management
Improve internal reporting processes and monitoring frameworks
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across portfolio reporting
Support implementation of analytics tools and performance management systems

Education & Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
Solid understanding of accounting, valuation, and corporate finance fundamentals
Experience (Formal or Informal)
Prior internships or experience in private equity, investment banking, portfolio analytics, consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate finance is beneficial
Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or performance analysis is a plus
Demonstrated interest in portfolio management or post-investment analysis
