Travel: Occasional travel (meetings, etc.)
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 base salary
Overview
We’re hiring an Inventory Manager to lead inventory control across manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role will own inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, physical inventories, reconciliation/reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll lead an Inventory Control team and partner cross-functionally with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality, and Master Data to improve inventory utilization and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall inventory accuracy and compliance across manufacturing and warehouse operations
- Manage and develop the Inventory Control team (hiring, training, coaching)
- Implement and administer a cycle count program aligned with business needs and audit standards
- Oversee annual physical inventory counts and related reconciliation activities
- Review and reconcile inventory discrepancies; verify adjustments prior to posting and drive root-cause analysis
- Create, analyze, and present inventory accuracy and performance reports to management
- Develop and improve processes to strengthen inventory flow and accuracy from receiving through shipment
- Identify opportunities to improve turns, utilization, excess disposition, and SKU management
- Partner with Master Data to maintain accurate ERP inventory records and support inventory forecasting
- Ensure compliance with inventory policies and procedures (FIFO, lot control, disposals); coordinate with Quality on nonconforming inventory
- Own month-end reconciliation and analysis of inventory, including outside locations
- Train warehouse and operations personnel on inventory-related procedures
- Support special projects as assigned
- 5+ years of inventory management experience, including cycle counting and manufacturing operations
- Experience supporting multi-warehouse environments, high-dollar inventory ($125MM+), and high SKU volume (6,000+ SKUs)
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems, including scanner usage
- Ability to analyze inventory transactions and data with strong attention to detail
- 2+ years managing direct reports; demonstrated leadership, coaching, and training capability
- Advanced Excel skills
