CRS is currently seeking to enhance our Materials Processing department in our Fort Lauderdale office. An Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring all parts and materials are received, stored, and distributed in compliance with company standards, AS9120B quality requirements, and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles. This role includes verifying part condition, performing periodic battery testing and charging per manufacturer specifications, packaging per ATA 300 standards, and assisting with marketing photography and logistics support as needed. These functions and responsibilities require a high degree of multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize efficiently for maximum output.

CRS is evolving our Materials Processing department by the advancement of our information technology system, the enhancement of our standard operating procedures and training team members for maximum competency.

 

  1. Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure all warehouse operations are performed in compliance with AS9120B quality standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination or damage due to Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D.).
  • Ensure appropriate means of protection are imposed through all stages of processing in accordance with preservation of product standards.
  • Perform visual inspection of all products to ensure there is no physical damage and that all accompanying documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Verify and document product condition, including performing periodic battery charge testing and recharging per manufacturer specifications, and monitoring expiration or shelf-life dates.
  • Maintain and verify that any expired material has been inspected and is not available for sale.
  • Ensure part traceability through proper labeling, documentation, and record retention per AS9120B standards.
  • Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming, expired, or damaged materials, supporting the corrective action process.
  • Organize and label inventory following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to ensure proper stock rotation and shelf-life control.
  • Provide organizational strategies and segregation tactics applicable to stored products.

 

  • Conduct and document regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with accounting employees on inventory management functions, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Accurately pick and prepare parts for customer orders, production, or service needs while maintaining traceability and documentation.
  • Package all parts and assemblies in compliance with ATA 300 specifications and company quality standards.
  • Verify part condition, documentation, and labeling prior to shipment.
  • Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment, inspecting label information and product conformity.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to inventory control, quality management, and AS9120B compliance.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse accuracy, efficiency, and quality system performance.
  • Oversee warehouse, facility, and equipment maintenance to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Responsible for sustainability of preventive maintenance activities for facilities and equipment.
  • Assist in photographing units, components, and assemblies for marketing, listings, and promotional purposes.
  • Assist with transportation and deliveries for the sister company as needed, ensuring safe handling and timely delivery.
  • Operate company vehicles responsibly and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
