This role provides critical administrative support to the Shift Manager and serves as a pivotal resource at the Algona manufacturing center. Responsibilities include leading cycle and month-end counts, reconciling variances, coordinating training, and assisting with production scheduling to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily cycle counts and assign SKUs to designated locations.
Record and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system inventory records.
Review and analyze material variances in Microsoft D365.
Lead month-end inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Verify SKUs, product quantities, product quality, and code dates.
Identify and sort product into categories: damaged, stale/out-of-code, outlet/short-code, and good stock.
Generate and distribute Open RMA reports in D365 to appropriate managers.
Perform weekly audits of trailers, TRACK, and RAF storage locations.
RAF completed orders in D365 as production is completed to ensure timely material consumption.
Work closely with the planner to develop and finalize the production schedule for the upcoming week.
Enter and maintain production schedules in Microsoft D365.
Ensure supervisors receive an accurate, up-to-date schedule prior to the start of each shift.
Make real-time schedule adjustments throughout the day based on line issues, downtime, or production constraints.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, planning, and plant leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.
Train and support associates on proper scanning procedures to minimize inventory discrepancies.
Provide ongoing support for production scheduling and execution as needed.
Job Requirements:
Excellent typing, filing, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks, reprioritize as needed, and work within time constraints.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Flexibility to meet peak demands during periods of high volume and activity.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. of boxes, film rolls, and seasoning bags.

Pay Rate & Benefits: $25.88 per hour
Our benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, an employer match 401(k), profit sharing, and employee stock purchase plan. During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours.In addition to PTO, Utz offers 6 paid company holidays each year.
