This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately August 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the Team
We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern interested in joining a fast-paced and dynamic Information Security team! The role requires expertise in processing large amount of data using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark or similar other open-source frameworks, with experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines for large-scale, sensitive datasets. Proficiency in secure REST API development using Python or Java and hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies is essential.
What You'll Do
Architect and maintain secure, scalable ETL pipelines to process high-volume
Implement efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, or equivalent frameworks
Implement robust failure recovery mechanisms and alerting for pipeline reliability
Optimize Spark jobs for low latency and high throughput in processing data
Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable REST APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Fast API) or Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
Work in a DevOps-driven environment, implementing CI/CD pipelines for ETL workflows and API deployments
What You'll Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field of study with a graduation date between 2026-2027
Able to relocate and work onsite in Bellevue, WA
Proficient in at least two general programming language such as Python and Java
Proven expertise in architecting data pipelines
Hands-on mastery of Apache Spark, Airflow, Apache Iceberg/ delta lake
Hands-on mastery in REST API development using technologies like spring boot or fast hands-on mastery in DevOps & CI/CD
Adaptable & collaborative mindset
Strong analytical problem-solving skills

Expected Compensation
$38.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
